It started with a group of moms wanting to give their kids more to do outside. We met and formed our committee, Friends of the Soda Springs City Park. Friends of the Soda Springs City Park is a non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of Soda Springs and surrounding communities.
Our mission is to enrich the lives of Soda Springs and surrounding communities, by providing a safe welcoming play area and splash pad, for people of all ages and abilities to play and learn.
Our goal is to build community pride through volunteerism, and improve the beautification and local economies.
We recognize the need for revitalization of the play area of City Park. These projects will improve our local economy by attracting families and tourists to the downtown business area. The playground portion will be community built which lowers the cost and creates community pride and better care of the park. The children of our community will help design the playground while local artists, craftsmen, youth and all individuals will have the opportunity to participate in the building phase. We will be working with the reputable company Leathers & Associates to build and design the park. The splash pad will have a geyser theme and will be contracted out.
An inclusive playground will provide equal access to all ages and abilities by incorporating handrails, ramps, equipment for various ages, and surfacing that allows wheelchairs and strollers.
We want to create a place where children, parents, veterans, grandparents, and families can play and learn together.
We are excited to start this journey and look forward to involving the community in every step!
